Services for Seniors with Brain Injury

This agency offers several services for senior citizens. Some of these include minor home repair for senior citizen homeowners (age 60 and older), home delivered meals, respite, mental health counseling and home modifications such as ramp installation among other services.

Disabled and Elderly Waiver Program
The New Mexico Human Services Department, Medical Assistance Division (HSD/MAD), provides home and community based waivers for persons with disabilities. This department also provides waivers for persons with developmental disabilities, as well as short-term care for persons who have experienced a brain injury. This organization provides one food box per month to qualified seniors age 60 and older. Individuals must meet financial criteria. There is a 6-12 month waiting list. Food is distributed in the Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Española and Peñasco areas only.

This department offers a plethora of services, including care, transportation, meals, medicare and medicaid assistance, social security assistance, etc.
