This hospital provides post-acute, specialized care for children and young adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities or chronic medical problems.

There is a specialized brain injury program for children from adolescents up to age 21. The program includes, but may not be limited to, rehabilitation, day hospital, and outpatient programs. The treatment process involves an interdisciplinary team of professionals, family members and community liaisons. There may be low-cost lodging available for family members who reside outside of the Albuquerque area.

In addition, the hospital has many clinics throughout the state that can continue working with children on an outpatient basis upon their return home. Please contact the hospital for more information about the programs and services available.

This rehabilitation hospital’s Brain Injury Program provides specialized, comprehensive, interdisciplinary programs for adults and adolescents with brain injury or associated neurological disorders.

The combined effort of professionals, family members and patients facilitates the progress toward the achievement of each patient’s specific goals. The facility offers a wide continuum of care including, but not limited to, therapies (i.e. OT, PT, Speech), neuropsychology, cognitive skills, nursing, psychiatry, behavior management, social skills, communication and many others. They offer acute, in-patient and outpatient programs. In addition, a Brain Injury Day Treatment Program is available.

This hospital offers a multidisciplinary team approach to the rehabilitation process to include family members, doctors, therapists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, physiatrists, and many other professional and ancillary supports. Individualized rehabilitation programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each program participant. They offer acute, inpatient and outpatient services. This organization provides acute rehabilitation services to individuals with brain injuries. They offer nursing, psychiatry services, psychiatry, traditional therapies (i.e. OT, PT, and Speech) on an in-patient and outpatient basis. The organization also offers dual diagnosis brain injury treatment services for individuals who are cognitively able to participate in this program.
